Vintage Big Head Chef Salt & Pepper Shakers Mid-Century Winking Couple Japan 5″ Near Mint Kitsch
These are the ones collectors dream about—the legendary mid-century Japanese big-head chef salt and pepper shakers! Standing a proud 5″ tall with exaggerated cartoon faces (huge winking eyes, thick lashes, rosy cheeks, tiny noses, and cheeky grins), they wear tall white chef hats proudly marked “S” and “P” in green. She rocks a yellow skirt with red polka dots, he sports a green apron over blue pants—the details are just perfection.
Near-mint vintage condition: no chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing. Colors are bright and glossy, paint crisp. The only quirk (and it’s charming): the salt shaker still has its original cork firmly stuck inside. Perhaps someone with more patience and thinner tweezers can coax out the cork. Pepper is open as usual.
