Description
Tuberose body butter is a water based, emulsified body butter, fragranced with exquisite tuberose essential oil.
- Ingredients: Distilled water, organic mango butter, emulsifying wax, cetyl alcohol, organic coconut oil, vegetable glycerine, 100% pure tuberose essential oils, vitamin E oil, borage oil and preservative.
- Directions: Massage a small amount into skin until absorbed. If rash or irritation develops, discontinue use. Store in a cool, dry place.
About the ingredients:
- Organic mango butter – this is one of our favored butters as it is easy to work with, not too hard or brittle, not too sticky and messy, and it is virtually odorless and does not interfere with the fragrance.
- Emulsifying wax – the EW used in this batch of body butter is from Plant Guru; it is a vegetable based, natural product used to bond the water and oils together.
- Cetyl alcohol is another vegetable-based product commonly used in cosmetics. It is a fatty, waxy like substance that helps to stabilize the body butter, aids in emulsification, acts as a thickener and is an emollient that moisturizes and heals dry skin.
- Organic coconut oil – this is a liquid, fractionated coconut oil, rather than a solid, as it has undergone a process to isolate fats chains. It is excellent for the skin, absorbs into the skin quickly, and does not leave a greasy film.
- Vegetable glycerine – Another plant-based product that has emollient-like properties, and works with the other ingredients in this body butter to keep skin hydrated and supple.
- Vitamin E oil – Vitamin E oil is excellent for the skin, can heal dry skin and reduce dryness and flakiness, and can hold moisture in your skin for up to 16 hours, among other benefits.
- Borage oil – This is a natural emollient, heals and softens dry skin, and has been used to cure various problems with skin such as dermatitis and eczema.
- Preservative – One cannot do without preservative in a water-based product, it is a must to prevent bacterial growth and keep your body butter safe and fresh for many months. This batch contains Germall Plus wide-spectrum preservative and comprises no more than 0.5% of the total product.
